ThumbFree website: privacy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This page is about this website only, kabrapratik28.github.io/ThumbFree. The ThumbFree apps have their own privacy policies, for Android and for iPhone. The apps collect nothing: no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and they never send your audio or text anywhere.
The short version
- This website has no accounts and no forms, and no analytics unless you accept Meta's pixel.
- GitHub Pages hosts it. Like any web host, GitHub sees your IP address and your browser's details.
- When we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, the home page may ask to load Meta's pixel, to measure those ads. It loads only if you tap Accept. Until then, no Meta code loads and no Meta cookie is set.

Hosting
GitHub Pages serves this website. When you visit, GitHub's servers receive your IP address, the pages you ask for and your browser's details, and GitHub may keep them in its logs for security. GitHub's privacy statement covers this: https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement
Everything on this website comes from GitHub Pages: its text, pictures, fonts and script. Nothing loads from other servers, apart from Meta's pixel if you accept it.
Meta's pixel, only if you accept it
When we run ads on Facebook or Instagram, the home page asks whether we may load Meta's pixel. It loads only after you tap Accept, and only on the home page.
- What Meta receives: once loaded, the pixel's code comes from Meta (connect.facebook.net) and stores cookies in your browser, such as _fbp, and _fbc if you came from one of our ads. Meta receives your IP address, your browser and device details, the page's address (with any campaign tags in it) and the page you came from, that you viewed the page, and which store button you tapped: Android or iPhone. Nothing else about what you do on the page is sent.
- Why: to count how many people come to this website from our ads and tap a store button, and so Meta can show our ads to people who may want ThumbFree. We see only totals in Meta's ad reports, never who you are.
- What Meta does with it: third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from this website and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to provide measurement services and target ads. Meta may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it under its own privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ and its Business Tools Terms: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/businesstools
- Legal basis: in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your choices
- Tap Reject, and the pixel never loads. Rejecting changes nothing else on the website or in the apps.
- To change your choice, use Privacy choices at the bottom of the home page. If you withdraw it, the page tells Meta's code to stop and removes Meta's cookies from this website.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as Reject.
- To choose which ads you see based on your activity, use Meta's ad settings (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences), or opt out at https://optout.aboutads.info or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage for 180 days, not in a cookie, and it is never sent to us. We do not sell personal information. Some US state laws call giving this data to Meta for ads "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; the choices above are how you opt out of it.
Campaign tags
If you came from a link with campaign tags (the utm_ parts of the address), the Google Play buttons pass those tags on to Google Play, and, once we set up App Store campaigns, the App Store buttons pass the campaign's name on to the App Store. Their reports then show us which campaign led to installs, as totals. The tags in our ad links name the campaign, not you.
Your rights
We hold no data about you ourselves. If Meta's pixel was used, Meta holds that data, and Meta's privacy policy explains how to see or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete your personal data, to get a copy of it, and to object to or limit its use. You can withdraw your consent at any time with Privacy choices. For any of this, write to thumbfree.app@gmail.com, and you can also complain to your data protection authority.
